FrustratedJournal update... If anyone reads it.
I'm at uni and having a break from "Industrial Relations". I hate it. A lot.
Anyways, I just have a few things on my mind about deviantArt and I'd just like to express it.

Nah jokes. I'll dot point them
1. Do you guys use deviantArt as an online "portfolio"? I sorta use it, but I find it inconvenient at times.
2. Do you think deviantArt has lost it? With all these new comers, posers etc? I feel like the quality of art/ideas have gone down. I mean yes, I do fan art, but I twist it, make it like I'm rewriting a series or something. I hate seeing all these doujins or fanart pairing shit. Fuck it pisses me off.
3. Do any of you support the artists on here? I do, like BikerScout or lambchild and a fellow aussie MelloLover, plateman and montyoum. I don't spread their stuff around, but I do look at their stuff though. Yours?
4. deviantArt needs a make over. Honestly.
5. I hate categorizing art on dA. It shits me off. A lot.
6. I hate it when people who just get pageviews etc from favouriting and commenting and doing shitty art works. Or "photography" when they know jack shit. Some people deserve watchers and comments like my good mate Nevermoron.

That's pretty much it at the moment. I'll share some non-dA related stuff though.

2. Iron Man is the sex. Gwen looks hot in it.
3. I saw Forbidden Kingdom. I have never seen such good wire fu stuffffffff.
4. I hate uni. Especially Industrial Relations.
5. My 18th is coming up in ... 20 days.
6. Amanda Bynes is the hots.
7. Tonight I'm going to watch Alien Vs Predator: Requiem.

I think dA can be used however you want. If you want to use it like a portfolio, then go ahead! But for me, art is all about making whatever you feel like making. If I get the urge to draw something, I don't want to be held back by the thought that other people aren't going to like it. And in any case, a number of people just use dA as a way of communicating with other people. And if that's what they wanna do, I don't see what's wrong with that.

I do think it's a good idea to have your portfolio online though. Some scouters prefer it. It's just a matter of upkeep and maintanence is all.
But what do you have to worry about? Your stuff is bad ass enough as it is!!!
